After 18 years of service, Chief Deputy Pat Rummel will join the ranks of some of the best officers in North Dakota.Originally from Dickinson, Rummel first worked as a reserve deputy for the Dickinson Police Department as well as the Jamestown Police Department before joining the Billings County Sheriff's Department in 1990. Rummel was nominated by Billings County Sheriff Dave Jurgens, who says Rummel is a jack-of-all-trades. "I have three guys working for me, and they are all excellent officers," Jurgens said. "The reason I recommended Pat for Peace Officer of the Year was because of everything he does. Not only being a patrol officer but also being my chief deputy, and being kind of my office manager here too. He is also the risk manager for the county and the emergency manager. He does a very good job with all of it." |
Congratulations Pat!
