The Medora Area Planning project is led by multiple agencies including Billings County, City of Medora, Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation, and the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library. The plan is partially funded by a ND Tourism Planning Grant and SRF Consulting Group will lead the planning process.
The comprehensive plan will set expectations for future development in the City of Medora and portions of Billings County to the west, east, and south of Medora. Plans like this are the foundation from which local governments make decisions about future development and changes. Each comprehensive plan is defined by the following characteristics: Community Vision, Comprehensive Scope, Conceptual Framework, Long-range Planning, and Communication.
There will be three opportunities for public input, all dates are on Sundays from 3:30-5:30 pm Mountain Time, located at the Medora Community Center:
- May 15, 2022 - Learn about opportunities and limitations for the future
- October 2, 2022 - Learn about different future development and transportation scenarios and provide input.
- January 22, 2023 - Learn about the draft Plan/Study and provide final input.
There will be opportunities for input via the Plan’s website at www.medora150.com
At each meeting SRF Consulting Group will gather feedback from the public and apply that to the next public meetings.
